Action Teams
This group is a home for discussion and thought about today's problems and the political environment. But, we go beyond discussion and take action. You are encouraged to join our action teams and help take back our country. We have created teams in the following areas, and will create new ones as we identify what needs to be done. You are part of that process and we invite your suggestions and leadership.
Campus Outreach: This team will communicate with middle schools, high schools
and colleges in the area to inform young voters and soon-to-be voters about
progressive issues and candidates. Plans include on-campus meetings and
presentations, and volunteerism. The team will play an important role in the
overall strategy of Progressive Democrats For Delaware. They will identify issues
that resonate with young voters and devise an action plan to reach them.

Candidate Recruitment and Endorsement: This team will identify potential progressive
candidates and screen them for endorsement and support by Progressive Democrats For Delaware.

Candidate Support: This team will provide training and volunteer support to
our endorsed candidates.

Fairness Project: This team will develop initiatives aimed at countering the persistant and growing inequality that is the legacy of the political right. Using a think tank approach, the team will address this "race to the right"
and its attendent mean-spiritedness and intolerance.

Fund Raising: This team will work on fund raising projects for Progressive
Democrats for Delaware. There's plenty of room for creativity and fun on this
team.

Legislative Monitoring Team: This team will track legislation in Dover and
alert us when support or opposition is required.

News-Journal Alert Team: This team will coordinate efforts to place letters
to the Editor and will monitor letters and correspond with people who voice
progressive views in the paper.

Press Office: This team will introduce Progressive Democrats For Delaware to
Delaware newspapers, radio and TV stations. It will develop an issues response
database and provide prompt progressive press commentary on Delaware and national
issues.

Senior Outreach: This team will visit senior centers and open a dialogue with
senior voters about progressive issues in Delaware.

communications, website maintenance and technological innovation.

mandatory curbside recycling in Delaware.

pending legislation that requires our action.

funding and implementation of full-day kindergarten in Delaware
